"More Quality Less Quantity" / "Less is More" are expressions I really have not taken that much notice of (other than acknowledging it is good advice) until now, when I realize, because of my addictive nature, I have definitely been over-indulging in quantity over quality, and doing more of something when less would have been better
Examples of bad behaviour:
The Internet Forum
- Bad Behaviour: You really like a forum, you regularly post stuff to the forum, and you're like checking the forum every hour or so to see if there is an update, or someone has reacted to your post.
- Correct Behaviour: Check the forum once a day (or less.) You won't miss anything. And your interaction with that forum will be so much more fulfilling (i.e. how many times did you waste your time checking the forum just to discover nothing new, or just disappointment ... i.e. no one liked or reacted to your post.)
Chocolate
- Bad Behaviour: Yes, you love chocolate. But eating lots of it all in one go, will make you feel sick, and you won't enjoy feeling sick.
- Correct Behaviour: Pace your chocolate. Maybe just eat chocolate in the evening. You'll savour it more. And practicing some restraint will stop you getting fat!
Sex/Masturbation
- Bad Behaviour: Doing it every day when you feel like it. Yes, it's fun but...
- Correct Behaviour: Try to hold it back a bit. Maybe once every two days. And instead of rushing it, pick the right time (say after work), take your time and enjoy it more. The orgasms are always better the more time you leave between them.
