I thought I'd plan ahead for 2025 regards holidays. This year I've over spent on holidays, and we've still got 3 months left but I have no days in the bag (no reserve days.) Keeping a few days in the bag is important for me in my current circumstances (decrepit relatives ... the ones beginning with the "p" word I hate saying ... I am so glad I am no ones "p").
This is what I think.
3 x roughly 5 day holidays
Keep the rest in the bag.
- End of April holiday (5 leave days)
- 17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25,26,27
- Th,Fr,Sa,Su,Mo,Tu,We,Th,Fr,Sa,Su
- Thailand 17th to 26th
- End of August holiday (5 leave days)
- 22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29,30,31
- Fr,Sa,Su,Mo,Tu,We,Th,Fr,Sa,Su
- Thailand 22nd to 30th
- End of December (Xmas) holiday (7 leave days)
- 20,21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29,30,31, 1, 2, 3, 4
- Sa,Su,Mo,Tu,We,Th,Fr,Sa,Su,Mo,Tu,We,Th,Fr,Sa,Su
- Thailand 20th to 3rd
That would leave 8 days in the bag!
I'm sure the wife would be happy with that. Anyway, just an idea for now, lets see how Christmas 2024 in Thailand goes first.
Yes, no time for driving holidays. I'm in a strange situation of having a foreign wife in a foreign land and I'm uncertain about bringing her to the UK.
