The "Fine Yourself!" Routine in the previous post is promising. Putting it to yourself that you'll fine yourself if you commit unhealthy practices, is a great way of stopping yourself doing these practices.
Now I want to fine tune this a bit. There are levels of unhealthy practices. And sometimes, say you want to apply the routine to a Christmas holiday day (as a write this, it is Christmas), you'd want to allow more freedom with food and drink say.
So, for any day, work or non-work, we can pick a level(s) to which we need to operate in, without receiving a fine!
As always:
- Work comes first!
- Enjoy what you do!
Note: You can always make a note for what you want to do after 1800.
I bet £100 I can go until 1800 without doing any of the below:
Note: On a work-day, must be ready to start work before 0800
- Level 1 (The Worst)
- Social Media: Discord, Twitter, Internet Forums...
- Level 2:
- Internet Shopping: Amazon, AutoTrader, Dakimakuras, Dolls, Pistonheads...
- Internet News: BBC...
- Internet Banking
- Level 3:
- Personal blogs (non-work related)
- Entertainments: Cinema, Music, TV, YouTube...
- Level 4:
- Breaking the 90-minute rule (90 minutes between drinks)
- Drinking drinks other than coffee, tea and water
- Eating anything except nuts (after breakfast)
Good Things To Do Which Won't Incur a Fine!
- Working (includes work related blogs)
- Exercise - Walking, Running, Workouts
- Reading
Note: Taking photos is okay because daylight can make a big difference.
