Enjoy Life!

Two things that have struck me as being important over the last month or so, is:
- Dopamine Detox/Resistance (getting back self-control)
- Life is meant to be enjoyed (in moderation) and not endured!

In this post, I talk about the latter - "Life is meant to be enjoyed!"

If you are not enjoying life, you need to ask yourself why!

1) Are you taking life too seriously?

Don't take life too seriously. Why so serious?

2) Are you not enjoying the things you have and needlessly desiring more?

"It is not how much we have (or what we have), but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness."

3) Are your unobtainable/faraway/silly desires making you sad?

"Desire is the root cause of all suffering!"

4) Are you putting unnecessary pressure on yourself?

"A diamond is a piece of charcoal that handled stress exceptionally well."

5) Are you afraid of something?

If so, why are you afraid?
Is it something worth being afraid of
Is it going to kill you?

Remember:
"What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger!"

6) Are you trying to be something you are not?

Be yourself (even if you think you're a total c^nt!)

7) Are you worried about what other people think of you?

Solipsism = "the view or theory that the self is all that can be known to exist"

8) Are you stressed about something?

Is it worth being stressed about?
Take time to relax, reflect and re-imagine.

9) Are you constantly day dreaming / fantasizing / wishing you were someplace else / doing something else / in another life?

"The journey of life is not meant to be feared and planned; it is meant to be traveled and enjoyed."

10) Are you being true to (and honest with) yourself?

Be true and honest with yourself!
If you think something is bollocks, it's bollocks.
Being given bollocks tasks to do, doesn't stop you from doing those tasks well and enjoying the task.

11) Dreaming of the long sleep?

The long sleep comes to everyone eventually. Comfort yourself in knowing it will come to you one day. For now, enjoy your life. You're a long time dead (and a short time to enjoy life)!

12) Are you forgetting something?

Maybe you're not enjoying life because you are forgetting something? Like music?

13) Are you forcing yourself to do things you don't like and not liking yourself because you don't like these things?

In life you must sometimes (maybe often) do things you don't like to survive. Not liking things isn't a productive state of mind. Enjoy them anyway. Try to find the element of fun that is always there to be had.

14) Are you practicing the right attitude?

"Right attitudes produce right actions."

15) Are you worried that people think you are shit at what you do?

"If it's hard to learn to do something well, learn to be happy doing it poorly."
And again "... the self is all that can be known..."

16) Are you resisting dopamine hits enough?

Dopamine isn't all bad, but too much indulgence isn't good.
"Life is meant to be enjoyed in moderation, not can'ts and cans."
