Liking What You Like vs Not Liking What You Like

I have noticed recently that:

Certain things I like, I don't like that I like them.

There are some things I like very much, but that I like them, makes me feel a little sad perhaps. Maybe it is a societal thing, and I am disliking some of the things I like because I know society as a whole will not approve, or maybe it is simply that I don't approve myself of liking these things.

Like always when faced with these conundrums, I have to consult the great oracle google and see what fantastic quotes can be found:

"It is not in doing what you like, but in liking what you do that is the secret of happiness."

"Doing what you like is freedom. Liking what you do is happiness."
