2025 Long-Term Goal

The title of this blog is currently "Stop Wasting Time Questioning the Meaningless of Life and Instead Waste Time Enjoying It!"

Indeed, life is so meaningless. Having a long-term goal is kind of meaningless too. But also, taking each day as it comes, work, work, work, 9 to 5, pay taxes, without any end in sight, is pointless too. And what is long-term!?

I will be 50 in August 2026, just over a year and a half from now. I feel my health is already waning (specifically my sight). So my long-term goal is:

  • Age 50: Retire

Plotting Now to My Death

  • Now to age 50: Work hard and work brilliantly, save money, don't spend unnecessarily, safe in the knowledge that I'll tender my resignation in August 2026*
  • Age 50:  Retire
  • Age 50 - 60: Learn, experience and volunteer (do something helpful with my time). Perhaps even teach English in Asian/African countries. Blow all my assets and build up massive debts (money isn't real anyway, ever since the US broke with the gold standard, it's just an accounting practice, just numbers, and governments magic money out of thin air)
  • Age 60:  Die!
These are my simple long-term goals. I don't want to live forever. I don't want to work until I'm too unhealthy to be able to enjoy some kind of retirement.

*Unless I get made redundant first.
