I find myself watching Alien (1979) this evening -
- and it made me think about the great things human beings do.
Alien is a great movie, Ridley Scott and team did a great thing making this movie, making this incredible art.
Of course there are lots of great things human beings do, many unsung heroes, but it makes me want to ask some questions (these are mainly directed to myself, but you're welcome to come up with your own answers):
- Q: What great things have you done (in the past)?
- Q: What great things are you going to do today?
- Q: What great things are you going to do in the future?
Maybe when we wake up, the first thing we should say is:
"What great thing am I going to do today?"

Alas, I have to admit to being nearly 50 years old and honestly, I have not done much great.
- Blogs (not just this one)
- Married and send money to a wife every month (for like 15 years now)
- And helped her out on various occasions (with money)
- Done some good quality work (also done some poor quality when I should have done better)
- Contributed to some forums
- Had some friendships
- The custom dolls
And that's about it. No one will watch my movie - which doesn't exist - and think "humans do great things". Might someone have read my blogs and found stuff I wrote great!?
Overall, I've lead a shocking life (I think so):
- Been a pretty sh!t son (maybe I am being unfair on myself)
- Dropped out of 3 universities
- Wasted my potential (straight A's at A-level in Maths, Physics and Chemistry; 154 IQ; I could have been something great maybe, instead I ended up working in the IT industry in a job that needed no degree)
- Wasted loads of money and time on cars
- Wasted loads of money and time on love dolls
- Wasted loads of money and time on dakimakura
- Wasted loads of money and time on porn and wanking
- Wasted loads of time
But it's really not worth thinking about the above. Cannot change the past. Can only look forward. So:
What Great Thing(s) am I Going To Do Today?
