Life is for living!
There is really no simpler and truer answer to "what is the meaning of life?" or "why are we here?" than the above.
Life if not for:
- Worrying about bollocks!
- Sitting on trifles!
- Dwelling on bullshit!
And it really is as simple as that.
You will not be happy all the time. And that is good, if you were happy all the time you would not know what happiness is. You need unhappiness to make you appreciate happiness - this is why you should embrace the bad times.
And you'll often find yourself doing total bullshit, but sometimes it simply has to be done and there is no point arguing about it, much better to get it done and move on, than dwell on it and waste more time on that bullshit than necessary. You need to do bullshit things to appreciate the good things - this is why you should embrace the bullshit.
And there are so many things in modern life that we think "I can't live without that", then you think "how did we manage 10 years ago". Social Media is a good example, so many people feel like they cannot live without it, but not more than say 15 years ago, it probably wasn't even a thing, it didn't exist, and they survived perfectly fine.
If you identify something as bad in your life, perfectly fine to say "it does not exist" and odds are, it likely did not exist a few years ago. And what you don't know can't harm you. There are many things I kinda wish I never learnt about their existence.
I do believe in moderation though. Things you enjoy and make you genuinely happy, should be enjoyed in moderation. To much of a good thing is a bad thing.
Cheers 🍻
