  • You are not a slave to your job (wage packet)
  • You are not a slave to modern society.
  • You are not a slave to family.

You are a slave to yourself!

  • You are a slave to your wants and desires.
    • Your wants for challenge / entertainment / food & drink / freedom / fun / happiness / joy / material possessions / safety / security / wealth ...
Whenever your wants and desires are getting in the way of you doing the right thing, that's when you are submitting to the yoke of personal slavery.

Often it is hard to know what the right thing is, but knowing what is the wrong thing to do is much easier (like wasting time on social media / porn.) Moderation in all things is fine, but taking things to the extremes (like extreme time wasting / extreme binging) is not fine!

Ask yourself:
  • "Is what I am doing healthy?"
    • "Healthy for my body?"
      • Try to eat and drink healthily and keep fit! 
    • "Healthy for my mind?"
      • Try to think healthy thoughts and do healthy things with your mind!
