The Art of Doing Precisely What Needs To Be Done!

Carrying on from the previous post where I expressed doubts on Dopamine Detox from a longevity perspective (i.e. if you tried to practice this every work day for instance, I think it would get a bit of a drag) this is my new thinking:

Practice the art of doing precisely what needs to be done!

This is really quite simple. If you are in your work hours, then simply do your work, no need to daydream or fantasize about doing something more fun in the future.

Also we could say:

Practice the art of thinking about precisely what needs to be thought about!

Also, we should be realistic about what is fun:

Everything is fun (just some things are more fun than others)!

And furthermore, we should be realistic about how lucky we are to be able to do fun things (even if we are not doing the most fun thing we can think of). We are so lucky to be in the alive state!
